HARD ANODISING

The Sanford process is a patented process which is conducted in sulphuric acid with a special weak acidic additive known under the trade-make 'Sanfran' and with special electrical power source. The thickness of the oxide film formed by this process meets the requirements of Miliary Specifications as to abrasion and corrosion resistance. This process is accomplished at 0 - 26oC by raising the voltage to 50 -70V.
