| Dissolution of aluminium increases with higher temperature, and high temperatures tend to give powdery films. The anodising process generates a considerable amount of heat. It is therefore necessary to cool the electrolyte. Also, efficient agitation is needed to distress the heat generated during the anodising process. The influence of electrolyte temperature on coating weight/metal loss relationship is show in the figure. |
